SEARCY – Harding swept a non-conference doubleheader against Alabama-Huntsville on Sunday at Jerry Moore Field. The Bisons came from behind to win the opener 10-9 and collected a 4-0 shutout in game two. Harding took three-of-four from Alabama-Huntsville in the four-game, weekend series.

Harding senior Zach Fisher stole home on a botched squeeze attempt in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Bisons a 10-9 victory over. It was Harding's second straight come-from-behind victory over UAH (6-10).

Harding (10-4) trailed 9-8 entering the bottom of seventh, but loaded the bases with one out. Senior Ben Rodriguez led off the inning with a single, his fourth hit of the game. One out later, Fisher reached on a throwing error by UAH shortstop Jake Lee with pinch-runner Matthew Johnson advancing to third. Wisley Correa lined a pinch-hit double to left-center scoring Johnson and tying the game.

UAH then walked John David Glenn intentionally to load the bases. Submariner Corbin Holland came in to pitch for the Chargers. On a 1-1 pitch, Ryan Moody squared to bunt, but Holland bounced a curveball, and Fisher slid around the attempted tag of UAH catcher Joey Tatara for the winning run.

The lead changed hands four times in the game.

Rodriguez entered the game with only one career extra-base hit in 93 at-bats. In the second inning, the Chandler, Ariz., native launched his first career home run, a solo shot to left-center. Two innings later, Rodriguez drove in two more with a double that tied the game at four. He doubled again in the six to finish 4-for-4 with two runs and three driven in, and joined Aaron Roberts as the only Bisons with four hits in a game this season.

Junior Brian McCrackin (1-0) collected the win with two innings of relief. He allowed two hits and struck out one. Joe Dunlap (2-1) suffered the loss, allowing three earned runs in 3.1 innings.

Roberts had two hits for the Bisons, including a first-inning home run, his second of the season. Kevin Herring had three hits for the Chargers.

Harding got an outstanding pitching effort from sophomore right-hander Brodie Brumley (1-0). The Scottsboro, Ala., native pitched 6.1 innings and allowed only two hits, both singles by Tatara.

Alabama-Huntsville loaded the bases in the top of the seventh, but Harding junior Dakota Gardner came on and retired the next two batters for his first Bison save.

Patrick Grimes (0-3) suffered the loss for Alabama-Huntsville. Grimes allowed three earned runs and six hits in six innings.

After three scoreless innings to begin the game, Harding broke it open in the fourth scoring three runs. Two came in on Roberts' double to center field, and Roberts later scored on Correa's single to right-center. The Bisons scored an unearned run in the fifth.

Harding returns to Jerry Moore Field on Tuesday to host Crichton for a doubleheader that begins at 1 p.m.
